Welcome to English IV! This course covers grammar, literature, composition, research, and vocabulary. The devised curriculum emphasizes reading strategies to increase proficiency and appreciation of British literature. Genres addressed in this course may include novels, short stories, poems, plays, and other forms of literature. Students will examine the writing process in detail and adhere to this methodology in composing prose. A major requirement of this course is the completion of a research paper. Vocabulary, grammar, presentations, and a variety of performance-based assessments (both independent and collaborative projects) will also be incorporated into this course.
